The 2017 academic year is officially underway at
Landsborough State School. After the Summer holiday break, classrooms and
playgrounds are once again filled with energy, excitement and
laughter. Staff and students are prepped for a busy year ahead. The
school has experienced an influx of new families and increased enrolment
numbers, resulting in the creation of extra classes.
The first day of school, January 23, was a morning of
excitement and smiles as families were welcomed into the school grounds. Newly
pressed uniforms, new school supplies, and enthusiastic students and parents
entered the classroom doors with refreshed faces, all eager to start the new
school year. Principal, Brendan Bopf explained, “I'm thrilled to begin 2017
with a surge in enrolment numbers and I look forward to getting to know so many
new families this year, as well as catch-up with our extremely dedicated group
of current families. We anticipate this will be an outstanding year at
Landsborough State School."
