The Landsborough State School Parent and Citizens Association would
like to extend to you a very warm 'Landsborough' welcome to our wonderful
school.
We believe that a good education is the result of a team effort
involving teachers, parents, students and the community. Supporting each
other in this way has given Landsborough the fantastic reputation it enjoys as
a high quality learning facility.
The
P&C is an integral part of the school community. Through our fundraising
efforts, we raise valuable money to assist the school in its mission to
continually improve resources and facilities.
The P&C also operates co-ordinates
school discos, fun runs and book club. We help fund things like swimming
lessons, school excursions, school camps and graduation, ensuring costs are
kept to a minimum for our families.
However,
the P&C's function is not only
fundraising. Through our meetings it is hoped that there can be a better understanding of how
the school is run and the realisation of how important it is for parents to be
actively involved with their child's school.
Participation in the P&C is a chance to have a direct
involvement in decision making in many areas of the school. We are always
happy to welcome and hear fresh ideas from new people. Personally, we regard our involvement as the P&C
Executive as an absolute privilege, and look forward to welcoming you all.

Meetings and membership
The P&C Association once per month in
the HIVE. Meeting times are advertised in the school newsletter. We welcome all new members. P&C's need people from all
walks of life and with a range of talents who are committed to delivering great
outcomes for their children and school. Everybody has a role to play and your
ideas will be heard. The more people involved, the more exciting and successful
it will be.
Attendance at our meetings is a great opportunity to find out more
about what is happening in the school and our future plans. It is also a venue
to discuss issues and ideas with both the Principal and other parents. We hope
you will come along and share your ideas.
